All works of Paul Klerr (1937–2017) are protected by copyright held by his Estate. This page explains permitted uses, citation guidelines and how to request authorisation.
All sculptures, reliefs, drawings, installations, photographs and any other artistic work created by Paul Klerr (Rome, 1937 – 2017) are protected by copyright. Copyright is held by the Estate of Paul Klerr, in accordance with Italian copyright law (Legge 22 aprile 1941 n. 633), the European Union acquis, the Berne Convention and the United States Copyright Act.
Under Italian and European law, copyright endures for the lifetime of the author plus seventy (70) years after death. The works of Paul Klerr will therefore remain in copyright until 31 December 2087.
The Estate also retains the moral rights of the author (diritti morali) recognised by Italian law (artt. 20–24 LDA), including the right to be identified as author and the right to the integrity of the work, which are perpetual and inalienable.
The structure, design, biographical texts, descriptive texts, catalogue entries, exhibition histories and any other editorial content of this website are © Estate of Paul Klerr.
Critical writings by third parties (Edith Schloss, Valentino Zeichen, Francesco Moschini, Claudia Terenzi, Jacopo Benci, Filiberto Menna, Barbara Tosi and others) reproduced in scanned form remain the copyright of their respective authors, publishers or successors. The Estate publishes them here for documentary and educational purposes under the principles of fair quotation and right of citation (art. 70 LDA in Italy; fair use in the United States).

The Estate generally responds within 10 working days. Authorisation may be granted free of charge for academic, journalistic and non-commercial editorial uses. Commercial uses are subject to a licence fee, determined case by case.
Unauthorised use of the works of Paul Klerr or of the content of this website constitutes copyright infringement and may give rise to civil and criminal proceedings under Italian, European and international law.
